KESTREL 4000 POCKET WEATHER TRACKER TAKES THE GUESS WORK OUT OF DIALING YOUR CAR

Affordable Hand-Held Weather Station Ideal for Bracket Racers

Drag racers have a new tool in the pits to help them quickly and accurately dial in their cars: the Kestrel 4000 Pocket Weather Tracker. A complete hand-held weather station, the Kestrel 4000 measures every environment condition: density altitude, humidity, temperature, barometric pressure, wind speed, heat stress index, dewpoint temperature, altitude, wind chill and wet bulb temperature. Portable and accurate, the Kestrel 4000 gives drivers and mechanics relevant data so they can use software or their judgement to dial in their cars.

In addition to being the only complete packet-sized weather station available, features that make the Kestrel 4000 especially suitable for racing include:

-  Density altitude is instantly and accurately calculated with the press of a button.

- Compact size makes it convenient to take readings in the pits for last minute adjustments.

- Memory feature stores and charts readings for later review.

Veteran bracket racer Bill Barr relies on the Kestrel 4000 to adjust for changing weather conditions in his Cougar. “In a sport where density altitude and wind speed can greatly influence a car’s performance, the Kestrel has made dialling my car a breeze. Once I learned to trust the readings, it was amazing how predictable my car was.”

The Kestrel 4000 is extremely easy to use; weather readings are instantly displayed with the press of a button, and updated continuously. Data is stored at a user-defined interval, with minimum, maximum and average values given for each measurement, and a data log that stores and charts up to 250 data points. The unit is also durable, rugged, fully waterproof and made in the USA. It also features a patented user-replaceable impeller that can be easily and inexpensively replaced in case of damage or wear.

The Kestrel 4000 enters the market as a smaller, portable, affordable alternative to the bulky weather stations/predictors that are currently in use by bracket racers.

The kestrel 4000 also has an optional computer interface and software that allows users to upload the stored data to a PC for in-depth analysis and long-term storage. The Kestrel 4000 is available in charcoal grey or safety orange.
